Colt is a sweet little boy who was found as a stray with Delta. He is about 2 to 3 years old but acts younger. He is about 9 lbs of pure love. It's hard to believe that the owners did not claim him. Colt is such a good dog. He is timid at first but warms up to people and loves them. He gets along with dogs. He is fully vetted. Colt is crate trained but prefers to be gated in a tile area or have the run of the house. If he is free to roam when the foster is gone, a belly band is sometimes used depending on the length of time the foster will be gone and just as a precaution. He has not wet it in a very long time. Colt sleeps with or near his foster mom at night and does not require a belly band. Given this information, I am comfortable saying he is house trained. Colt has gotten very attached to his foster mom, so we know he can attach. He needs someone who is not going to give up on him; use his belly band until you get him on your schedule. Colt and Delta are considered a Bonded Pair at this time. They were found together and have been in the same foster home for 3 months. Colt and Delta play well together. They need to be adopted together. Check out some of Colt and Delta's video on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SAINRescue/ IDEAL FOREVER HOME: fenced in yard; someone to take him on walks daily as he loves his walks; adopted with his buddy Delta; patient human parents; no small children as he jumps when excited and opens his mouth (He is NOT aggressive at all, but his canine teeth are sharp, so he could scratch you when he jumps with his mouth opens.) someone he can snuggle with and sleep with. Colt and Delta love playing with one another. If interested in adopting Colt and Delta, please go to https://www.sainrescue.org/contact-us/adoption-application/ and complete the adoption application. Delta is a sweet little girl who was found as a stray with Colt. No one claimed her. It's hard to believe the owners would not claim her as she is a good dog. She is about 12 lbs of pure joy. Delta is timid at first and barks but once she warms up, she loves people. Delta is a Diva who sometimes needs to be corrected when she gets jealous, scared or frustrated. She is easy to correct and redirect. She seems frustrated when on leash and does not do well meeting dogs that way. Delta did well when crated, but no longer needs to be crated. Delta and Colt are A BONDED PAIR and need to be adopted together. Delta sleeps next to or with her foster mom. She is sometimes gated in the kitchen with the other dogs, especially if the foster mom will be gone for several hours. She does use the potty pad in the kitchen when necessary. She is fully vetted. Check out some of Colt and Delta's video on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SAINRescue/ IDEAL FOREVER HOME: fenced in yard; patient owner who will work with her to get on their schedule; adopted with Colt; no young children as she gets scared when they run around or by her and she can be mouthy as she is still a puppy; someone who will take her on her daily walks because she loves to go for walks; and an owner who will work with her leash behavior as she is reactive to dogs, cars, bikes when on leash. She enjoys chasing squirrels and others who run along the top of her fosters fence.
