FULLY VETTED
Colt is a very affectionate and loving dog. Colt asked his foster mom, “Why doesn’t anyone want me? I am sweet and a cuddler. I keep you warm at night by sleeping on you or next to you. I love my walks and running in the yard. I learned to play fetch. You don’t even have to pick me up because I can jump up onto your lap or into your arms. I am a little guy, weighing only about 11 lbs. so it doesn’t cost much to feed me. I am good with other dogs and prefer that they not get in my face until I know them. I play really well with my foster sister, Delta. I am a gentle dog. Mommy, why doesn’t anyone want me?” Colt has been in his foster home since July 2024, and we are all perplexed as to why he hasn’t been adopted. If interested in adopting Colt, please go to https://www.sainrescue.org/contact-us/adoption-application/ and complete the adoption application. A private meet and greet will be set up for you to meet him.
Delta asked her foster mom, “Why doesn’t anyone want to adopt me? I love women the most but can get used to men. I love to play fetch and play really well with Colt. It is hard for me to meet other dogs, so I think I would rather be in a home with Colt or as an only dog. Is it because I act like a Diva? Is that why no one wants me? I love to snuggle and give kisses. Although I love to go for walks, I still need training on a leash when other dogs, critters or people are around. I love to play fetch in my fenced in yard. Oh, I am a great watch dog and will let you know when I hear someone or something. Outside, I monitor the comings and goings of other animals/critters and will chase them but I am not sure what I would do if I caught a squirrel or bird. Mom, why doesn’t anyone want me? I am housetrained and a good eater. I hope someone will give me a chance. IDEAL HOME for Delta: a home with a fenced-in yard; be an only dog, adopted with Colt, or possibly adopted in a home with a small submissive dog; a quiet home; someone willing to work with training her on her leash behavior; and room to run and play fetch in a secured fenced in yard. If interested in adopting Delta, please go to https://www.sainrescue.org/contact-us/adoption-application/ and complete the adoption application. You will get a message stating the application was successfully submitted when it is. We can set up a private meeting after we receive a completed application. Adopters must live in the State of Illinois and preferably within 50-60 miles of Bartlett.
